Make a meaningful impact supporting students and staff as a School Psychologist on a contract assignment near Huntington, IN. In this dynamic position, you’ll collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster a positive educational environment and promote student well-being. Your specialized expertise will help identify student needs, provide assessment and intervention strategies, and offer guidance for individualized educational planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or license (Indiana or eligibility)
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, special education law, and multi-tiered systems of support
  • Strong communication, consultation, and teamwork skills
  • Experience working in K-12 settings preferred, but all backgrounds considered

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess students using a variety of standardized tests and evaluation tools
  • Participate in eligibility, placement, and IEP team meetings
  • Provide counseling and intervention services individually and in groups
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop effective strategies for student success
  • Maintain thorough documentation, and uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all practices
  • Support crisis intervention and serve as a resource for mental health and behavioral issues
