Providing psychological services in an educational setting, this position supports student development, mental health, and academic success. The role involves assessment, counseling, and consultation with educators and families to address learning and behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting psycho-educational assessments to identify individual student needs
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention plans
  • Providing counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
  • Participating in individualized education program (IEP) meetings and developing behavioral strategies
  • Maintaining comprehensive records, reports, and documentation in compliance with policies
  • Promoting positive school climate and student well-being through preventive programs

Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or license
  • Experience working in a school environment preferred
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to student advocacy and ethical practice standards

Location: Huntington, IN

This is a contract position within the school system.
