School Psychologist - Huntsville, Alabama

Qualifications/Experience:

• Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Alabama
• Master’s or specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field
• Experience providing psychological services in a K-12 school setting preferred
• Skilled in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
• Knowledge of IEP processes and special education regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Participate in eligibility determination meetings and develop, review, or update IEPs
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff
• Provide individual and group counseling to support student growth and well-being
• Offer crisis intervention and consultative services as needed
• Deliver professional development or training to staff regarding student mental health and behavioral supports
• Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with school and state policies
