Your expertise will guide academic journeys, offering essential input during ARDs and evaluation reviews in concert with diagnosticians.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience with K-12 evaluations, especially at secondary and elementary levels
- Adept at working as part of a multidisciplinary team (including diagnosticians)
- Knowledge of ARD processes and special education law and procedures
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, administrators, and families
- Detail-oriented with proven organizational skills in assessment and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Perform psycho-educational evaluations for 9th-grade students as well as assessments shared with nearby elementary campuses
- Partner with diagnosticians on evaluation processes, ensuring timely and comprehensive assessments
- Participate actively in ARD meetings, providing expertise and contributing to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Review current evaluations, offering recommendations for interventions or supports as needed
- Serve as a resource to staff regarding student needs, assessment results, and best practices in educational psychology
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all reporting standards
