A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist specializing in evaluations within an elementary school setting in Hyattsville, MD. This role focuses exclusively on evaluating young children, ages 3 to 5, as part of the Child Find program aimed at early identification and assessment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological evaluations for children ages 3-5 to support early intervention services
- Collaborating with educational professionals and families to interpret assessment results
- Preparing detailed evaluation reports and recommendations
- Participating in case discussions and maintaining compliance with district and state guidelines
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid Maryland School Psychologist License is required
- Previous experience conducting early childhood psychological evaluations is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools appropriate for preschool-aged children
Schedule and duration:
- Position runs from ASAP through June 9th
- Work schedule is three days per week from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., approximately 7 paid hours daily plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch
