Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology, or equivalent
  • Current approval as a School Psychologist by the Michigan Department of Education
  • Strong understanding of special education processes, assessments, and compliance standards
  • Experience communicating effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of learners across age levels
  • Previous school-based experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough special education evaluations aligned with federal, state, and district requirements
  • Provide psychological services and develop recommendations to foster student well-being and academic progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to create supportive interventions
  • Maintain all documentation, reports, and timelines to ensure compliance
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Adjust caseload responsibilities as needed to align with changing district priorities
