Key Qualifications:
- Valid or eligible School Psychologist certification for practice in South Carolina
- Strong background in psychoeducational assessment, interventions, and counseling
- Familiarity with IEP processes, special education laws, and best practices for student support
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in a school setting is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and behavioral assessments for a diverse student population
- Provide direct counseling, behavioral support, and intervention services to students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
- Maintain precise, confidential records and reports in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Engage in crisis intervention and prevention activities as needed
- Stay abreast of current research and best practices in the field
