Key Qualifications:

  • Valid or eligible School Psychologist certification for practice in South Carolina
  • Strong background in psychoeducational assessment, interventions, and counseling
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, special education laws, and best practices for student support
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams
  • Previous experience as a School Psychologist in a school setting is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and behavioral assessments for a diverse student population
  • Provide direct counseling, behavioral support, and intervention services to students
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
  • Maintain precise, confidential records and reports in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
  • Engage in crisis intervention and prevention activities as needed
  • Stay abreast of current research and best practices in the field
