Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification or license as a School Psychologist in New Jersey
- Thorough understanding of IDEA and related educational laws
- Demonstrated experience in assessments, counseling, and behavior interventions in a school environment
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Ability to create individualized education programs (IEPs) and participate in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and help determine students’ educational and behavioral needs
- Provide direct individual and group counseling to students as needed
- Recommend and help implement strategies for academic and behavioral interventions
- Consult with teachers and parents about strategies to support student growth and success
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of IEPs and 504 plans
- Support crisis intervention, prevention, and response initiatives within the school community
- Maintain accurate records and complete required reports in a timely manner
