Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current certification or license as a School Psychologist in New Jersey
• Thorough understanding of IDEA and related educational laws
• Demonstrated experience in assessments, counseling, and behavior interventions in a school environment
• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
• Ability to create individualized education programs (IEPs) and participate in multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and help determine students’ educational and behavioral needs
• Provide direct individual and group counseling to students as needed
• Recommend and help implement strategies for academic and behavioral interventions
• Consult with teachers and parents about strategies to support student growth and success
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of IEPs and 504 plans
• Support crisis intervention, prevention, and response initiatives within the school community
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reports in a timely manner
