Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a school psychologist in an engaging educational environment for the 2026-2027 school year. This role offers full-time hours (37.5 per week) beginning August 3rd, 2026, and concluding May 28th, 2027. Two distinct positions are available: one based at East Aurora and the other as an itinerant psychologist traveling between Algonquin, Carpentersville, and Hampshire, providing diverse experiences throughout Northwestern Illinois.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a K-12 School Psychology endorsement
  • Master’s degree in School Psychology
  • Experience conducting assessments, providing counseling, and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams
  • Preferred: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/English (not required but highly valued, especially for the itinerant position)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Experience supporting students from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify students’ strengths and needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams
  • Provide consultation and intervention services across a range of K-12 settings
  • Serve as an advocate for students’ educational, social, and emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, and administrators to support student success
  • Travel between assigned schools (itinerant role only) to provide needed psychological services
