This contract opportunity is located near the vibrant Joliet, IL area, where you’ll support learners at both the junior high and kindergarten levels. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Previous experience as a school psychologist preferred (internship counts)
- Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate interventions for both younger and adolescent students
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload across two school buildings
- Compassionate, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and provide recommendations for intervention
- Deliver counseling for students at the kindergarten and junior high level, tailored to developmental needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement support strategies
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, including IEP development and review
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with school and district policies
- Serve as a resource and consultant for staff and students’ families on mental health and learning issues
