School Psychologist | Joliet, Illinois

This contract opportunity is located near the vibrant Joliet, IL area, where you’ll support learners at both the junior high and kindergarten levels. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
• Previous experience as a school psychologist preferred (internship counts)
• Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate interventions for both younger and adolescent students
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload across two school buildings
• Compassionate, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and provide recommendations for intervention
• Deliver counseling for students at the kindergarten and junior high level, tailored to developmental needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement support strategies
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, including IEP development and review
• Monitor student progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with school and district policies
• Serve as a resource and consultant for staff and students’ families on mental health and learning issues
