Make an impact in the lives of elementary students by supporting their academic and emotional growth in a dynamic school community near Joliet, IL. This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated school psychologist to work onsite with a manageable caseload of 35-45 students at Bardwell Elementary and potentially Brady Elementary. With an immediate start and assignment running through May 28, you’ll collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to foster a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for elementary students
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies and support plans in collaboration with educational teams
  • Offer individual and small group counseling to address students’ behavioral, academic, and social/emotional needs
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 meetings, providing expertise in assessment results and appropriate interventions
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records consistent with school and state guidelines
  • Engage with parents, teachers, and support staff to discuss student progress and offer recommendations
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed to ensure student safety and well-being

Qualifications:

  • Active School Psychologist license and PEL required (please submit a screenshot of your credentials)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
  • Ability to work full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday (7:45 AM to 3:30 PM)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to new environments and caseload expectations
