School Psychologist - Joliet, IL

As part of this assignment, you’ll utilize your skills to conduct comprehensive evaluations, interpret data, and contribute to student success plans. Your expertise will ensure students’ academic, social, and emotional needs are met so they can thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

What You’ll Need:

• Valid School Psychologist certification/license for Illinois
• Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational environments
• Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Knowledge of IEP development and special education processes preferred

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Conduct psychological and academic assessments to identify student strengths and needs
• Interpret findings and develop individualized recommendations for educational planning
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on team-based decision-making
• Provide crisis intervention and counseling to support student mental health
• Consult with staff and families to design interventions and strategies
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies and federal guidelines
• Promote inclusive practices and advocate for appropriate support services
