What You’ll Need:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license for Illinois
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational environments
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Knowledge of IEP development and special education processes preferred
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments to identify student strengths and needs
- Interpret findings and develop individualized recommendations for educational planning
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on team-based decision-making
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling to support student mental health
- Consult with staff and families to design interventions and strategies
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies and federal guidelines
- Promote inclusive practices and advocate for appropriate support services
