A contract opportunity is available in Kansas City, KS, for a school psychologist dedicated to supporting student development through assessment, intervention, and collaboration. This role focuses on identifying and addressing the learning, behavioral, and adjustment needs of students by partnering closely with educators, families, and community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral functioning following professional standards and considering cultural and socioeconomic diversity
  • Interpret evaluation data to inform instructional planning, program eligibility, and recommendations for research-based interventions
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) aimed at maximizing student success
  • Facilitate evaluation meetings, pre-staffings, and three-year re-evaluations with clear and effective communication
  • Provide consultation on learning theories and psychological principles to promote positive adjustment and educational outcomes
  • Act as a liaison between the school system and external agencies to coordinate student services
  • Maintain adherence to ethical standards and relevant laws governing school psychological services

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s or Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology
  • Valid Kansas Teaching Certificate with School Psychologist endorsement
  • Eligibility to provide a Health and Inoculation Certificate upon employment offer
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as extended sitting/standing, computer work, and occasional lifting or bending

This position reports to building principals and the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, delivering vital support across the school community to foster student growth and well-being.
