Exciting opportunities are available for experienced school psychologists to support students with complex needs in a dynamic K-12 environment near Kansas City, KS. This contract position is focused on providing in-person evaluations and ongoing assessment services for learners with a range of abilities, including those who are non-verbal, physically impaired, or utilize assistive technology for communication. Work collaboratively with a dedicated team, supporting students’ growth and development while making a meaningful impact.
Your assignment will cover the academic year, running from August 12, 2026, through May 21, 2027. Flexibility is key, as you may travel between multiple campuses within the district to address varying student needs. The specific caseload and responsibilities will be clarified during the interview process.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Master's degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Strong assessment skills, especially with students requiring intensive supports
- Experience working with non-verbal and physically impaired students and with AT devices
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Comfortable adapting approaches to serve a diverse K-12 population
- Willingness to travel between district locations as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth psychological evaluations and reevaluations
- Administer a variety of assessment tools tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to develop support plans
- Provide expert recommendations for interventions and accommodations
