Step into a vital role supporting K-4 students in a dynamic educational environment as a full-time School Psychologist. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of approximately 50 students across three buildings. Starting in the middle of August, you'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and support teams to ensure that each child receives comprehensive and compassionate psychological services.
Your expertise will be key in fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that helps young students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience with K-4 age groups preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and report writing skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and travel between multiple locations
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect psychological services to K-4 students across three school buildings
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and share results with educators and caregivers
- Develop and monitor individualized education and intervention plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide recommendations for student support
- Counsel students individually or in small groups, addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Consult with teachers and families to implement positive behavioral strategies and classroom supports
- Assist with crisis intervention and prevention programming as needed
