Make a positive impact as a School Psychologist by supporting students’ success in a vibrant educational setting. This contract opportunity is based onsite, with two openings available: one at the elementary level and another working with secondary students (grades 5-12). As part of an engaged learning community, you’ll play a key role in conducting evaluations and assessments, helping ensure every student receives the support they need.

This assignment runs from August 26, 2026, through June 7, 2027, and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The district welcomes travel professionals who are ready to bring their expertise and passion for student well-being to the Scranton area. Please note, this position requires onsite presence and does not offer a virtual option due to supervision guidelines.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current certification and state licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Previous experience in schools, providing services at elementary and/or secondary levels
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different grade levels as assigned

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and interpret psychological assessments and evaluations
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Support academic, social, and emotional development of students
  • Document and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
