Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in educational settings is highly desirable
- Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
- In-depth knowledge of special education laws and eligibility requirements
- Ability to provide crisis intervention, behavioral support, and participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and accurately interpret data to guide educational planning
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop effective intervention strategies
- Provide direct counseling services to students and consult with families on behavioral and learning challenges
- Support the Response to Intervention (RTI) process and offer insights at eligibility meetings
- Deliver professional development to school staff and build positive relationships with the school community
- Maintain compliance with documentation and timelines as required by federal and state regulations
- Participate in crisis prevention and intervention efforts within the school
