Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist, serving a diverse student population across a vibrant elementary and select high school settings. Beginning January 5th and running through June 12th, this engaging assignment may be extended in the event of snow days. You'll join a collaborative environment using a balanced hybrid model—four days on-site at three different locations near Lacey, with a fifth day each week to work from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive initial and re-evaluations, manage referrals, and maintain an active caseload.
  • Deliver psychological services to a student population with a 1:1,000 psychologist-to-student ratio.
  • Administer baseline annual testing (approximately 60 initial evaluations), with additional re-evaluations as needed.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to create supportive learning plans for elementary and some high school students.
  • Opportunities available to work with preschoolers if desired.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Current WA State School Psychologist License.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide a copy of your Social Security Card.
  • Over 2 years of experience preferred, but motivated new graduates with strong foundational skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to efficiently work within a hybrid model (four days onsite/one day remote).
  • Fingerprinting and background check required through OSI database.

This contract role offers a competitive hourly rate between $50-60, depending on experience. Standard scheduling is 37.5 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40 hours as approved in advance.
