Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a School Psychologist near Laguna, NM. This role involves delivering essential counseling and assessment services both during the Extended School Year (ESY) and throughout the regular academic calendar. The position begins June 1, 2026, with ESY counseling support needed once a week for approximately 4 hours throughout June. As the 2026–2027 school year launches in August, the need expands to 2–3 days per week, roughly 6 hours each day, running through June 2027. In this dynamic setting, you’ll contribute meaningfully to student wellbeing and educational outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure to practice as a psychologist is required.
- Experience conducting psychoeducational and psychological evaluations.
- Solid foundation in IEP development and familiarity with special education eligibility criteria.
- Experience with, or willingness to learn about, the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) system.
- Strong organizational abilities, particularly in documentation, compliance, and service tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling services for students during ESY and the regular academic year.
- Carry out comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for special education and gifted/talented determinations.
- Accurately maintain and submit service logs and required documentation.
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school staff.
- Offer general psychological support and consultation within the school community.
