This in-person, full-time contract runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering meaningful engagement within an educational community. You’ll work district-wide, delivering vital psychological services and collaborating with dedicated professionals to foster student wellbeing and academic achievement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in educational psychology or a closely related field
  • Completion of at least one year of supervised internship under a credentialed school psychologist
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (School Psychologist endorsement)
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Commitment to ethical practice and culturally responsive services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group psychological assessments to identify students’ strengths and needs
  • Offer direct counseling and intervention services to students
  • Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies that promote student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert guidance on intervention planning
  • Support crisis prevention and intervention efforts within the school community
  • Deliver professional development to staff on relevant topics such as behavior management and mental health awareness
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and prepare comprehensive reports as required
