Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a school psychologist, making a real difference in the lives of students in a supportive and dynamic educational setting near Lakewood, OH. You’ll work the full school year, starting August 24, 2026, and finishing June 7, 2027, with a steady 37.5-hour work week. Serve a manageable caseload of 40-50 students at just one building, supporting a diverse range of learners through comprehensive evaluations, IEP participation, and evidence-based interventions. Assignments will be based at either Hadley Middle School or Bedford High School, giving you the chance to provide expertise in a focused environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist credential (state-specific certification/licensure)
- Experience delivering psychoeducational assessments, writing evaluation reports, and conducting eligibility meetings
- Skilled in participating in and developing IEPs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing consultative support
- Strong advocacy for students’ social, emotional, and academic needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Familiarity with school-based intervention strategies and progress monitoring
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer standardized evaluations and assessments to identify student strengths and needs
- Contribute expertise in IEP development, including goal setting and progress analysis
- Provide individual and group interventions aligned with student goals
- Collaborate closely with staff, families, and external professionals to coordinate services and resources
- Support crisis intervention, behavior management, and preventive strategies within the school community
- Maintain timely, thorough documentation and adhere to compliance standards
