A School Psychologist position is available to support student mental health and learning outcomes in educational settings within Las Vegas, NV. This role involves working directly with students, educators, and families to assess, identify, and address psychological and learning challenges, contributing to a supportive and inclusive school environment. The position requires some travel between schools, providing services across multiple locations within the area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs related to learning, behavior, and emotional health
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute professional insights on student development and school climate
- Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies accordingly
- Promote positive behavioral supports and safe school environments through training and consultation
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or license to practice as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
- Ability to manage caseloads across multiple school sites with travel
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
