School Psychologist in Laurel, DE

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist
• Experience or strong interest in serving PreK-aged children
• Solid understanding of psychoeducational evaluations, behavior intervention strategies, and IEP development
• Ability to work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school setting
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, observations, and consultations to identify students’ strengths and needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional success
• Participate in eligibility and intervention meetings, providing recommendations for services or accommodations
• Provide direct support services, including counseling and social skills training as needed
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with all relevant guidelines
• Promote a positive and inclusive school climate for all students
