A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist in Leavenworth, KS, supporting student learning and development during the 2026/2027 school year. The role involves comprehensive psychological assessment, consultation, and collaboration with school personnel, parents, and community agencies to promote student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students using appropriate assessments aligned with professional standards.
- Facilitate evaluations, pre-staffing sessions, and IEP development to support individualized education planning.
- Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and staff to recommend research-based interventions and strategies that enhance student engagement and adjustment.
- Coordinate communication between the school system and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Maintain ethical standards and comply with relevant laws governing school psychological services.
- Generate clear written and oral reports to communicate findings and plans effectively.
- Participate in ongoing program planning, data analysis, and evaluation for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Kansas Teaching Certificate with School Psychologist endorsement.
- Ability to meet physical demands including prolonged sitting and standing, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and other mobility requirements.
- Health and Inoculation Certificate required post-employment offer.
