A School Psychologist position is available for the 2026/2027 school year in Lenexa, KS, offering a contract role focused on supporting student learning, development, and adjustment. This role involves collaboration with school personnel daily to coordinate evaluations, develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and recommend evidence-based interventions while adhering to professional ethics and legal standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify learning, social-emotional, and behavioral needs, considering cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Analyzing and integrating data to inform instructional programming and student placement decisions.
  • Communicating effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other school personnel.
  • Consulting on classroom and school-wide strategies to enhance student engagement and support.
  • Coordinating evaluation meetings, including initial and three-year re-evaluations, as well as pre-staffing sessions.
  • Serving as a liaison between the school system and external agencies to facilitate comprehensive student services.
  • Assisting in the planning and development of research-based interventions aligned with student needs.

Qualifications required:

  • Master’s or Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid Kansas Teaching Certificate with School Psychologist endorsement.
  • Health and Inoculation Certificate on file after employment offer.

Physical requirements include the ability to sit and stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds to shoulder height, bend, stoop, and perform various tasks in a classroom environment.

Compensation is $45-50 per hour. Healthcare benefits and weekly pay are provided.

This position reports to the building principals and Special Education Administration.
