This contract opportunity, located near Lenoir City, TN, offers a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week for the entire 26/27 school year. You’ll support students across the full special education caseload, playing a pivotal role in their academic and emotional success.

In this role, you'll handle scheduled and as-needed re-evaluations, collaborating closely with teachers and parents to address diverse student needs as they emerge. Your professional insight will help shape student planning and support, making a real difference each day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for special education students
  • Managing re-evaluations in alignment with district timelines and legal requirements
  • Responding proactively to requests for additional evaluations throughout the year
  • Consulting with teachers, staff, and parents to interpret assessment results and develop recommendations
  • Participating in IEP meetings, reporting findings and contributing to student plans
  • Maintaining detailed, confidential records in accordance with district and federal guidelines

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Certification/licensure as a School Psychologist as required by Tennessee
  • Experience in a school setting, preferably working with special education caseloads
  • Familiarity with best practices and compliance in both evaluation and re-evaluation processes
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to emergent student needs
