This school psychologist opportunity is a full-time, onsite contract position for the upcoming academic year. As an integral member of a dynamic school environment, you’ll utilize your expertise to support students’ educational, social, and emotional development. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate positive learning outcomes and mental health.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in School Psychology required
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a school psychologist intern or similar role
  • State certification as a School Psychologist
  • Strong background in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and developing IEPs
  • Ability to administer, score, and interpret a range of psychological and academic assessments
  • Familiarity with applicable federal and state regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Technical proficiency for documentation and reporting
  • Capacity for independent judgment and adaptability under pressure
  • Physical ability for typical school settings (sedentary work, occasional lifting up to 10 lbs)

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for special education eligibility
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and outside agencies to promote student well-being
  • Participate in multidisciplinary assessment and IEP meetings
  • Advise staff and families on strategies for supporting student achievement and behavior
  • Respond to crises and participate in district crisis management protocols
  • Stay current on laws and best practices in school psychology
  • Prepare meticulous assessment reports and other required documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school policies and legal requirements
