Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Current licensure as a school psychologist
  • Certification to practice as a school psychologist in Arkansas or eligibility to acquire it
  • Experience working within elementary, middle, or high school environments
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and federal educational regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams for student support
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to fostering inclusive educational practices

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments to determine student needs
  • Interpret assessment data and participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, administrators, and families to implement supportive strategies and interventions
  • Provide direct or consultative mental health and crisis intervention services
  • Advise on plans to promote positive behavioral and educational outcomes school-wide
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development through direct counseling or group work
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Contribute expertise to staff training and parent education sessions
