Make a meaningful impact by supporting students at Meridian Academy, a specialized program serving grades 6–12 students with intensive social, emotional, and behavioral needs. This contract opportunity runs through May 27, 2027, offering 37.5 hours each week at a campus dedicated to transformative student support.

In this crucial role, you’ll deliver mental health services to an engaged caseload of approximately 23–30 students, all receiving individualized support through their IEPs. You’ll collaborate closely with a dedicated team to address a range of behavioral needs, contribute to IEP development, conduct evaluations, and participate actively in meetings. Your expertise will empower students—many with histories in facility or day treatment settings—to thrive despite significant challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education SSP license with School Psychologist or School Social Worker endorsement
  • Experience supporting middle and high school students with severe behavioral and mental health needs
  • Strong background in IEP development, evaluations, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage sensitive cases and adapt interventions for students requiring intensive support
  • Must successfully complete background check and fingerprinting as part of district credentialing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct mental health interventions as outlined in student IEPs
  • Lead and participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and team collaboration
  • Support social, emotional, and behavioral growth, customizing strategies based on individual student needs
  • Serve as a resource to staff on best practices for students with intensive needs
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with district requirements
