Located at a specialized program for grades 6-12, you’ll work closely with a small, collaborative team to deliver essential mental health services. Your efforts will help students at Meridian Academy—some of whom have not found success in traditional placements—pursue personal and academic growth. Serving a caseload of approximately 23 to 30 students, you’ll tailor interventions that address individual needs, facilitate IEP development, and participate in meetings, assessments, and progress evaluations.

Desired qualifications and experience include:

• Active Colorado Department of Education SSP License with School Psychologist or School Social Worker endorsement
• Experience supporting middle and high school students, particularly those with severe behavioral and/or mental health needs in intensive or alternative settings
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
• Timely completion of district-required background check and fingerprinting

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group mental health interventions
• Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP development and meetings
• Collaborate with program staff to implement behavior support plans and monitor progress
• Advocate for students’ well-being within a multidisciplinary team setting

This assignment offers a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours through the end of the school year, with immediate start available.
