Step into an impactful role supporting young learners by providing comprehensive psychological services in a K-2 educational setting. This contract opportunity runs through the 2026-2027 school year, offering full-time, onsite hours (Monday through Friday, 7.25 hours daily). You'll be valued for your specialized expertise as you collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

  • New York School Psychologist certification required
  • Previous experience chairing CSE/CPSE meetings is highly preferred
  • Background in conducting formal assessments for early elementary students
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with special education processes and compliance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform student evaluations, including cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments
  • Serve as the Chairperson for CSE meetings, coordinating services and collaborating with stakeholders
  • Support IEP development, facilitate team discussions, and provide consultative services
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation and uphold confidentiality standards
  • Engage in proactive communication with staff and families to ensure each student’s needs are met
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive school climate for students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade
