School Psychologist in Long Beach, CA

In this dynamic opportunity, you’ll work within a friendly educational setting providing full-time school psychology services for the 2023-2024 school year. The focus will be on supporting K-5th grade students in an itinerant capacity within the district, located in the vibrant Long Beach, CA region.

What you’ll bring:

• Master’s degree in School Psychology and active California PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) credential
• Licensed as a School Psychologist in California
• Willingness and ability to work onsite in various school settings
• Open to welcoming both new graduates and experienced professionals, even from out of state
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working closely with teachers, staff, and families

What you’ll be doing:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations using tools such as WISC, WJ, and RIOS
• Observe student behaviors, implement and monitor IEPs and behavior plans
• Track individual progress and advocate for student needs
• Collaborate with educators and parents to develop student success strategies
• Travel between sites within the district to offer your valued support
• Contribute meaningfully to the well-being, growth, and educational outcomes of elementary students
