Make a difference this school year by supporting students’ success as a School Psychologist in the Long Beach, CA area. This contract role offers an engaging opportunity to work with elementary students (K-5) in an itinerant position across multiple schools. The position is available full-time (35-40 hours per week) for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active California certification as a School Psychologist
  • Master’s degree in School Psychology
  • Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential required
  • Open to experienced professionals, out-of-state candidates, and new graduates
  • Comfortable providing in-person services within a school setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver school-based psychological services to K-5 students across the district
  • Conduct standardized assessments and evaluations, including tools such as WISC, WJ, RIOS, and similar instruments
  • Monitor and document students’ progress toward academic, behavioral, and emotional goals
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior support plans
  • Observe student behavior to inform and develop effective interventions
  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of IEPs and behavior plans
