Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active licensure as a School Psychologist in Alabama or ability to obtain
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Previous experience working in schools or with children/adolescents preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
- Ability to conduct assessments, write comprehensive reports, and participate in IEP meetings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to determine students’ needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective interventions
- Provide counseling/interventions to support students’ mental health and emotional regulation
- Participate in eligibility and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Consult with staff on classroom techniques and strategies to support diverse learners
