Step into an impactful opportunity working directly with high school students in an educational setting for the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll collaborate onsite with school staff, students, and families, supporting a caseload of approximately 30 high schoolers. The position begins August 10, 2026, and concludes May 14, 2027, with a consistent schedule from 7:30AM to 3:00PM.
In this contract-based role, you’ll conduct assessments, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and help develop individualized plans that foster student growth. Your efforts will help create a supportive and positive academic environment where every student can thrive.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid and active Illinois School Psychologist license (required)
- Prior experience working with high school-aged students strongly preferred
- Ability to perform comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
- Comfortable working onsite throughout the assignment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for growth
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to develop and monitor IEPs and behavioral intervention plans
- Consult with faculty and staff on strategies to support student well-being and academic progress
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team planning
