Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings
- Strong knowledge of special education processes, including evaluations, re-evaluations, and intervention strategies
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to provide consultation and guidance regarding pre-referral interventions and discipline processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and 3-year re-evaluations to determine students’ special education needs
- Offer consultation on pre-referral interventions to promote student success in the classroom
- Participate in manifestation determination hearings related to disciplinary actions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and administrators, to develop effective strategies and recommendations for student support
- Maintain thorough documentation to comply with legal and district standards
