School Psychologist - Mechanicsville, Maryland

This opportunity covers two schools in a reputable district near Mechanicsville, MD, with convenient access to both Baltimore (just over an hour away) and Washington, D.C. (under an hour). A full-time commitment (35 hours/week) during the school year offers the flexibility of choosing a fully in-person schedule or a hybrid option. Hybrid psychologists spend two days per week onsite at their assigned schools, with most meetings held virtually. Occasional in-person attendance is required for key meetings such as IEPs, 504s, or specific student support sessions; these typically align with each school's primary meeting days.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification as a School Psychologist in Maryland (out-of-state candidates and new graduates encouraged to apply)
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment, special education evaluation, and student support services
• Outstanding communication and rapport-building skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to manage flexible schedules and efficiently balance both in-person and remote tasks

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive psychological services and interventions for K-12 students
• Conduct assessments, write reports, and participate in eligibility determinations
• Collaborate in IEP, 504, and other multi-disciplinary meetings, both virtually and in person as needed
• Support the social-emotional wellbeing of students through counseling and consultation
• Serve two schools, with age group and location preference considered
