Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting students and staff as a school-based professional serving the greater Melrose Park area and neighboring communities including Maywood, Forest Park, Oak Park, and Bellwood. This dynamic, full-time contract spans the entire school year through 6/4/27, offering stability and room to build meaningful connections with the school community.

As an integral member of the academic team, you will primarily serve one campus, but flexibility to provide support at additional sites within the district as needed is valued. Your expertise will help foster a safe, supportive, and proactive learning environment for all students.

Ideal candidates bring:

  • Illinois licensure as a School Psychologist, and/or Registered Nurse credentials (BSN preferred and prioritized)
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in school settings, working directly with K-12 students
  • Skills in assessment, intervention, and crisis response
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
  • Flexibility to float within the district, adapting to changing priorities
  • Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, and ongoing professional growth

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting student assessments and developing interventions based on psychological and medical needs
  • Supporting students’ mental health, academic progress, and overall well-being
  • Collaborating with educators, counselors, and other school professionals
  • Providing crisis intervention and consultation services as necessary
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential records and ongoing communication with appropriate stakeholders
