This full-time, onsite contract position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with a schedule of 37.5-40 hours per week. As a mental health advocate within an educational environment, you will help shape positive outcomes and promote student well-being.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited program in School Psychology
- In-depth knowledge of MARSE and IDEA regulations
- Proficiency in administering a wide range of psychological and educational assessments
- Experience determining eligibility for special education and Section 504 services
- Strong communication skills for sharing findings with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to respond effectively during crisis situations
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations in alignment with MARSE and IDEA standards
- Administer and interpret tests such as cognitive, achievement, adaptive behavior, and social-emotional rating scales
- Determine student eligibility for special education (SLD, OHI, EI, CI, ASD, and others) and Section 504 accommodations
- Clearly communicate evaluation results and eligibility decisions to both staff and families
- Collaborate to create targeted IEP goals, accommodations, and behavior support plans
- Provide direct intervention during crisis situations, including threat and suicide assessments
- Participate in Student Support Teams (SSTs) to develop strategies for students facing challenges
- Support program planning, evaluation, and ongoing professional development activities
