Key Qualifications:

• Valid CT 070 School Psychologist License required
• Background or strong interest in school psychology within a K-12 setting
• Experience (or readiness) in student evaluations, re-evaluations, and report writing
• Skilled in conducting individual and group counseling sessions
• Comfortable collaborating with PPT (Planning and Placement Team) members
• Solid communication, organizational, and time management skills

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments including initial evaluations and re-evaluations to identify student needs
• Prepare comprehensive assessment reports and make informed recommendations
• Deliver direct counseling and support services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Play an integral role in the PPT process, guiding teams in interpreting assessment results and developing effective student plans
• Serve as a resource to staff and families for understanding and supporting students’ learning and mental health
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialized staff to promote student well-being and academic success
