School Psychologist in Mesquite, TX

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Texas licensure as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
• Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or related field
• Comfortable conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations
• Knowledge of RTI and MTSS processes
• Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and state-specific guidelines
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Previous experience as a School Psychologist or within schools, supporting K-12 students

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments to identify students’ strengths, needs, and eligibility for services
• Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students individually or in groups
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to design and monitor effective interventions
• Support the development and implementation of IEPs and Section 504 plans
• Participate actively in ARD/IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and crisis intervention efforts
• Deliver professional development and consultation for school personnel as needed
