A School Psychologist role is available in Metairie, LA, offering the opportunity to support students' mental health and academic success within a dynamic educational setting. This position involves travel to various school locations, providing psychological services and assessments to enhance student well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students with diverse needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling and intervention services to address behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and legal requirements
  • Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts within the school community

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
  • Strong knowledge of Special Education laws and practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and travel between school sites as needed
