What you'll need to succeed:
- Active certification and licensing as a School Psychologist
- Experience or confidence working with students at elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills
- Ability to develop and interpret educational and psychological evaluations
- Clear communication and collaboration style for working with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to upholding ethical practices and student confidentiality
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments for referred students
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrative staff to create and implement individualized support plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute insights to help drive student success
- Assist in the development of positive behavioral interventions and supports
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
