Elementary Middle School School Psychologist - Middlebury, Vermont

Make a meaningful impact by supporting student success across elementary, middle, and high school settings as a school psychologist on a contract basis. In this flexible role, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to help shape positive educational outcomes and foster a nurturing environment for students of all backgrounds and abilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification and licensure as a School Psychologist
• Previous experience working with elementary, middle, and/or high school students
• Demonstrated knowledge of psychological assessments and intervention strategies
• Strong understanding of learning, behavioral, and social-emotional development in school-aged children and adolescents
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to provide culturally competent and sensitive support to diverse student populations

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to identify student learning and behavioral needs
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor individualized learning or behavior plans
• Offer counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services as needed
• Assist in creating safe and fostering inclusive learning environments
• Support special education teams with eligibility determination and IEP development
• Deliver training and resources on mental health, behavior management, and effective instructional strategies to school staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical and legal standards in all practices
