Desired Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Virginia state Psychologist License (required)
  • Experience working with K-12 students, with a preference for elementary-level familiarity
  • Ability to conduct assessments, develop and implement intervention strategies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively consult with teachers, administrators, and parents
  • Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and preparing thorough reports

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive psychological services to a varied caseload of elementary school students (with possible involvement in the broader K-12 setting)
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students’ strengths, challenges, and needs
  • Develop individualized intervention plans and participate in IEP/504 meetings as required
  • Offer crisis intervention, counseling, and support to students individually and in groups
  • Collaborate with educators and families to create effective, nurturing learning environments
  • Provide professional recommendations, resources, and support to staff and parents
