What we’re looking for:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited program
- Relevant state licensure or eligibility for certification as a school psychologist
- Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other support professionals
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs and 504 plans is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
- Previous experience within a school environment is preferred, but enthusiastic newer professionals are encouraged to apply
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to determine student needs and support appropriate educational planning
- Provide direct counseling, intervention, and support services to students individually and in groups
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create positive behavioral interventions and strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and help develop individualized educational programs (IEPs)
- Offer crisis intervention and prevention services as needed
- Advocate for students' mental health and educational access through consultation and ongoing support
- Maintain thorough records and comply with all state and federal guidelines
