Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license in South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Previous experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Strong skills in conducting educational evaluations and assessments
- Excellent communication abilities for collaboration with educators, administrators, and families
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and adhere to deadlines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret cognitive, academic, and social-emotional assessments for students
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop effective intervention strategies
- Contribute to individualized education program (IEP) teams by sharing assessment findings and recommendations
- Consult with teachers and parents to support students’ learning and behavioral needs
- Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with school and state policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies
