Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current, valid license as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience in middle school or secondary education settings strongly preferred
- Skill in student evaluations, ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings, and providing minimal counseling
- Strong communication abilities when collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, students, and families
- Flexibility, independence, and an efficient approach to managing a PRN evaluation caseload
- Familiarity with special education regulations, best practices, and evidence-based interventions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct student evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services and develop support recommendations
- Attend and participate in ARD meetings, offering insights and contributing to student success plans
- Deliver occasional, targeted counseling sessions for students as required
- Liaise with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional growth
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
- Consult with educational teams to facilitate effective interventions and supports
