Step into a rewarding position as a school psychologist, working in person for the 2026-2027 school year at the middle school level. This is a .6 FTE contract role with consistent hours from 7:40 AM to 3:40 PM. You’ll play a vital role in fostering student well-being and supporting a collaborative learning environment near Mount Prospect, IL.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification/licensure as a school psychologist
- Experience working with middle school students or comparable age groups
- Strong understanding of educational assessments, interventions, and behavioral support strategies
- Solid interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team setting and manage a flexible, .6 FTE schedule
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for educational planning
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs)
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers, administrators, and related service providers
- Provide consultation and intervention support to address academic, social, and emotional needs of students
- Engage in crisis intervention, as needed, and assist with preventative mental health initiatives
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture through advocacy and education
