Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree from an accredited school psychology program
- Valid and current Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) with School Psychologist Endorsement
- Previous experience in psychoeducational assessments and interventions preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of the evaluation process, including cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional functioning
- Confident, compassionate communication with students, families, and educational teams
- Experience attending and contributing to IEP and eligibility meetings
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for referred middle school students
- Collaborate on eligibility determination by participating in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Document findings to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with state/federal guidelines
- Offer overflow support to the building’s full-time School Psychologist, working collaboratively on shared responsibilities
- Communicate evaluation outcomes and recommendations to families and staff
- Maintain up-to-date records and timely completion of evaluations and reports
