School Psychologist in Naperville, IL

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with school psychologist endorsement
• Experience working within school environments, preferably at multiple grade levels
• Strong knowledge of assessment tools, counseling strategies, special education laws, and IEP process
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with diverse student populations, demonstrating sensitivity and cultural competence

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify student strengths and areas of need
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning and emotional well-being
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, assisting with the development and monitoring of student plans
• Provide individual or group counseling to students to address behavioral, academic, or social-emotional concerns
• Support the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and other school-wide initiatives
• Deliver crisis intervention services and consultation to staff as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
