Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
  • Current licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist within the state
  • Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and students
  • Ability to administer and interpret psychological and academic assessments
  • Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and best practices
  • Compassionate, ethical, and culturally responsive approach to student services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students referred for academic, emotional, or behavioral concerns
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement interventions and 504/IEP plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop individualized plans supporting student success
  • Provide short-term counseling to students and offer crisis intervention when needed
  • Facilitate professional development and training for educational staff on behavioral and learning support strategies
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and guidelines
  • Advocate for student needs and work proactively to promote a safe, supportive school climate
