Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Current licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist within the state
- Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and students
- Ability to administer and interpret psychological and academic assessments
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and best practices
- Compassionate, ethical, and culturally responsive approach to student services
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students referred for academic, emotional, or behavioral concerns
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement interventions and 504/IEP plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop individualized plans supporting student success
- Provide short-term counseling to students and offer crisis intervention when needed
- Facilitate professional development and training for educational staff on behavioral and learning support strategies
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and guidelines
- Advocate for student needs and work proactively to promote a safe, supportive school climate
