Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification in Connecticut
  • Experience conducting assessments, providing counseling, and developing intervention plans for students
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, RTI/MTSS frameworks, and IEP processes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and parents/guardians
  • Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and document student progress effectively

Role Responsibilities:

  • Complete educational and psychological assessments to identify student needs and inform individualized plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in creating, implementing, and reviewing IEPs and Section 504 plans
  • Deliver counseling and mental health services to students individually or in small groups
  • Consult with teachers and parents to provide strategies for supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional success
  • Participate in crisis intervention and offer expertise in managing acute behavioral and emotional concerns
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure all services comply with state and federal regulations
